UPDATE:

SEA AVIO SA, ALISPORT SRL AND
AEROTEC INNOVATION SRL GROUP

Since inception, a few years ago, SEA-AVIO has engaged to design and manufacture the best possible airplane in its category. Since the very beginning it stated its legacy by no hiding to its mission: SEA literally means no less than Swiss Excellence Airplane! It was not to be simple, SEA did not commit to re-design with a bit of re-development an existing project, a very common habit in aviation, but it rather directly engaged in the challenge of creating a whole new model from scratch, with “excellent” characteristics to say the least; that will later indeed prove to literally spell its name high up in the sky and all over the world.

RISEN was born, and it immediately revealed to be even more than an “excellent” Airplane, but a true state of the art in its class. Right after launch, RISEN immediately made the news, not only by winning the official Speed World Record in its class, but also by having crossed the Atlantic Ocean, the south route from Africa to Brazil, with standard fuel tanks and a 100 hp standard carburetor engine.

Immediate worldwide acknowledgment on the press and personal recognition with international prizes and rewards were followed by strong autonomous market demand for the plane, from Aero Club and Private individuals worldwide.

So great an international success made SEA AVIO have to choose on whether let its marvel become a true game changer by making it available to the public through a proper organization and full industrial production, or keep it to low to the lab level for a more “boutique like” approach, thus with limited production and supply to a very few selected fortunate individuals.

SEA AVIO chose for selling the RISEN to public going straight for full efficient industrial production. To do so, the team that created RISEN, had to first provide all necessary equipment to allow efficient industrial manufacturing and, second, raise the necessary cash to support working capital and necessary investment. For production, an agreement was reached for a partnership which leads to control, with Alisport, a 25 year old well established Airplane manufacturing company, with a worldwide sales network of its own Aircraft, SILENT 2 ELECTRO, complete with all necessary manufacturing facility and equipment. For necessary financial capital, new sister company was set up in Italy: AEROTEC INNOVATION srl, with the aim to become the main operating and financial arm of all RISEN project, and not only by coordinating manufacturing in ALISPORT, but also by raising all necessary new capital and resources needed to the full industrial scale. Following to these events, SEA AVIO became an Operative Holding company, it sold all of its RISEN project to AEROTEC, while holding share capital of the same.

Risen

Siren

Performer of innovative design,
efficiency and safety.

Risen

Our world speed record holder

Risen is an exceptional performer of innovative design, with unparalleled efficiency and safety, luxury interior, and top level avionics.

Side-by-side 2-seat ultralight airplane

A side-by-side 2-seat ultralight airplane with a wide cabin (123 cm) for pilot and passenger comfort, both enjoying a panoramic view from the 3 m2 motorized canopy, surrounded by gorgeous leather interior with Bose noise cancelling comfort headsets.

Avionics

The choice of avionics for Risen mirrors its philosophy: excellence without compromise. The glass cockpit Dynon combines two 10” touch screens with one 7” central display. Additionally, a 2-axis autopilot and a computer for flap control are standard.

Safety

Exceptional safety for pilot and passenger is an integral part of Risen’s design philosophy. To this purpose, Risen features a ballistic parachute, anti-explosion and anti-fire fuel tanks, as well as inertial-reel seat and shoulder belts that can be locked for flight through turbulence. For additional protection, the cabin is surrounded by strong carbon reinforcement.

Power

Risen is powered by the reliable Rotax 912 ULS engine. SEA has also developed a custom propeller which generates the optimal airflow around Risen’s fuselage and enables it to maintain an amazing continuous speed of 315 km/h.

Efficiency and Aerodynamic

Risen has been designed using tools and expertise generally found only in large aeronautical industries. Advanced fluid dynamics, in particular, is the secret behind Risen’s outstanding flight characteristics.

Every detail as well as the overall shape of the aircraft were meticulously studied and optimized. The synergy of these optimizations resulted in an aircraft of spectacular efficiency, for example, with a glide ratio of 1:23 and speeds unheard of in any aircraft powered by the Rotax 912 engine. Careful design of all aerodynamic aspects assure reliable and desirable behaviour throughout its exceptionally large flight envelope.

The meticulous attention to aerodynamic details behind Risen’s design is evident also from the choice of propeller: when propellers available on the market were found not to be optimal, SEA’s engineers developed a propeller design of their own which unlocked the full potential of this aircraft. At the low end of Risen’s speed envelope, generously dimensioned flaps give it a very low stall speed.

Personalization

Risen is available in three different standard paint schemes and interior finishes: “Race”, “Sport”, and “Elegance”. Further customization is available, however, to tailor your aircraft to your own preferences.

interiors

Interior quality and comfort are one of the main goals of the project philosophy behind Risen. The wide cabin measuring 123 cm across, combined with the glider-like sculpted seats, allow pilot and passenger to enjoy full comfort even on very long flights (taking advantage of Risen’s range of 1288 km, at 290 km/h cruise speed).

The extra large canopy provides an almost 360o panoramic view, and the cabin is luxuriously appointed with carefully selected interior details and equipment.

The first production airplane debuted at the Aero Expo in Friedrichshafen (Germany) with leather and carbon interior fittings, but subsequent production is offered in 3 different styles: Race, Sport, and Elegance. Bose noise-cancelling headsets are included and provide a quiet space for relaxed attention and easy communications.

The motorized canopy, along with electric trim and flap operation, complete the Risen experience of exceptional comfort, functionality, and performance.

Risen

The simplified,
fixed gear alternative

With Siren SEA created a fixed-gear version of Risen, which will also conform to US LSA regulations. Besides the difference of the gear Siren has also a simplified flaps system with split flaps.

Risen is the all-carbon flying beauty in the picture above: a side-by-side 2-seat ultralight airplane with a wide cabin (123 cm) for pilot and passenger comfort, both enjoying a panoramic view from the 3 m2 motorized canopy, surrounded by gorgeous leather interior with Bose noise cancelling comfort headsets.

characteristics

Siren is available with different ROTAX engines ranging from 80 to 115 hp and offered ready-to-fly with reduced minimum equipment at a lower entry-price. Like Risen the Siren has a full composite robust airframe structure with double carbon skin, sandwich foam and Epoxy resin technology. This offers optimum strength at a light weight. Another great advantage of the SEA airplanes: You can easily disassemble the tail and wings of your Siren to load it on a trailer or store it during the winter season.

performance

The larger tyres, the light weight and the short landing and take-off distance make Siren interesting for all types of runways, even under difficult conditions. When it comes to efficiency Siren is at its top level. Even with regular tanks (2x 45 litres) it has a range of up to 2,340 km, so 1263 NM (including 30 minutes reserve) – this means you could go straight from Lugano to Saint Petersburg or from Miami to Montreal at a long range cruise speed of 180 km/h (97 kn).

For the cruise speed the optimized aerodynamics promise an outstanding performance of 250 to 265 km/h, so 135 to 143 knots at 75% (calculated by SEA simulation software). Depending on the engine we will guarantee a maximum continuous horizontal speed of 270 to 290 km/h, so 145 to 156 knots. For detailed information have a look at the download area.
